Why Vegan

Thanksgiving is around the corner and this year you turned vegan

Thanksgiving is around the corner and this year you turned vegan

Since I'm from Sweden and only have lived in the US for a couple of years, I have not experienced many Thanksgiving dinners before I went vegan. But I've certainly participated in multiple traditions throughout the year in Sweden and for every single event, a particular animal is served.

The holiday season can feel especially stressful if you have decided to go vegan for ethical reasons. You have realized how absurd it is that a tradition tells us to cut the head of a Turkey, clean out their intestines and add stuffing up through their buttocks. But your family and friends that you love very deeply have not - and now they are inviting you to come over for dinner. You may not want to be a part of normalizing the consumption of meat but you also don't want to take distance from your near ones...

Dear customers, this is why we are increasing our prices (click here)

Hello friends!

As we've recently mentioned on social media, we are getting ready to increase prices for all items.

We value transparency and so I wanted to explain the reasons for the change...

The first time I got in touch with Brie was through a giveaway we both participated in with several other sustainable, ethically minded companies.

The first time I got in touch with Brie was during a giveaway that Dynur was participating in with several other sustainable, ethically minded companies. I was surprised when she reached out to let us know that she'd been following Dynur since her Instagram is named @sliceofbrie. I was very excited to find out that she and her family had recently transitioned to a vegan lifestyle. The stories behind people's decision to go vegan are fascinating and Brie in particular is such an authentic, thoughtful presence.

Brie lives in Alberta with her husband Jim, Sully (5 years) and Emmy (2 years). She has her own business called @cottonandstring, where she makes custom, modern cross stitch. It’s fabulous and a great idea if you are looking for a unique, personal gift to give to someone special. I'm very excited to share Brie's story so let’s get to the interview!...

For this Vegan Family of the Month, I had the pleasure to speak with Hannah Stackawitz at her beautiful home in Langhorne, PA. I put the address in Google maps and when I hit the entrance to their home I thought I must have ended up at the wrong house. The house has old charm and is made out of stone with a beautiful yard. Once I called and confirmed that this was in fact  the right house, I parked outside and Hannah came out the backdoor, gave me a big smile and waved me inside.

Her 9 month old son, Asa, and their dog, Scout, (both vegan), were there as well. As with many of the other vegan families I meet, our first interaction was through Instagram. Hannah is a customer of Dynur and she sent me a couple pictures of Asa in his clothing. I thought it would be great to have Hannah share her experiences with us, since she is the first mom I’ve spoken with who is raising her child vegan with a non-vegan partner...

For Decembers Family of the month, we’re excited to talk with a wonderful american mama, Danielle (Danni) who lives in Italy with her husband and two sons. I discovered her on Instagram through her inspirational page “Veganwondermamas”. Danni is a progressive, ethical vegan, all about zero waste and living a natural, free-spirited lifestyle in the mountains. Through her company Wondermamas she help people all over the world discover delicious, healthy (and easy!) meal plans. I’m delighted that she agreed to let me ask her 10 questions about raising a vegan family so let’s get to the questions...
